Liz Guyler
Liz Guyler is a lawyer mediator with Family Mediation Forum. Liz has been working as a lawyer for 30 years.
Liz qualified as a mediator in 1995. She trained with the Family Mediator’s Association and then undertook additional training and qualification with National Family Mediator to allow her to work with charities such as N.C.H. Liz is also qualified to carryout mediations which include direct consultation with children.
Liz’s interest in mediation developed as a result of her experiences as a family lawyer whereshe became increasingly aware that a high proportion of legal cases were unsuited to the adversarial system, but until a few years ago no alternative system was available.
Not all cases are right for mediation, but now clients can make a choice for themselves about which process best suits their particular case.
